Students Organizing Against Racism, GENTE, College Democrats and the Tulane University Peace Action Committee are presenting a worker speak out and community panel on the state of Sodexo at Tulane.

Tulane subcontracts its dining services to Sodexo, an international corporation that pays sub-poverty wages and violates workers’ freedom of association according to investigations by Human Rights Watch and TransAfrica Forum. For over a year, students have urged Tulane to kick out Sodexo in response to overwhelming evidence of human rights violations and worker mistreatment.

Carina Mises, a Sodexo worker from the Barrick Gold Mine in the Dominican Republic, will share her experiences from working for Sodexo in the DR.
